Hello, Jack the Dog here. As I embark (bark, literally) on my campaign to be the animal mayor of Orange City, Florida, I plan to blog all of my experiences in order to keep my fans constantly updated.
I have been getting such wonderful feedback from my fans around the neighborhood. Everyone has been so kind and generous from donating food and toys to letting me sleep in the best napping locations. Even the cats have been letting me eat their dinners so I have extra strength during this stressful time in my life. I want to thank you all for your support.
What makes me a good candidate for first animal mayor? The answer is clear, because of my avid involvement in local politics. My first political campaign began when I opted to attend a teacher union meeting with my owner. She aided me in making a poster so that I could show the world my viewpoints. My picture in the paper... the sign says, "I get more respect than teachers." Which I do. No one is taking away my pensions or threatening the future of my career. I petitioned with my owner and aided this important cause by bringing attention to the picket line. Seeing as I ended up making front page of the paper, I believe I did a good job bringing attention to this campaign. Without my photograph and interview, I don't think this issue would have received so much awareness from the media.
Until next time, remember: its a dog's world; and I want to be mayor.
